Get the Carroll County Observer App!
Get faster access to local news, breaking updates, and notifications — right from your home screen. No app store needed, and it’s free!
📱 iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open carrollobserver.com in Safari (must be Safari — this doesn’t work in Chrome or other browsers on iPhone)
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”
- Tap “Add” in the top right
- The Observer icon will now appear on your home screen — tap it anytime for the full app experience
🤖 Android (Chrome)
- Open carrollobserver.com in Chrome
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner
- Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”
- Confirm by tapping “Install”
- The Observer icon will appear on your home screen and in your app drawer
🔔 Turning on Notifications
Once you’ve installed the app, open it and you’ll be asked whether to allow notifications. Tap Allow to get alerted the moment breaking news happens in Carroll County. You can turn this off anytime in your phone’s settings.
