McKENZIE, Tenn. — Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies booked McKenzie resident Anthony Massie into Carroll County Jail Saturday evening, February 21, on two drug charges.

Massie faces possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, with bond set at $25,000, and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with intent to distribute, with a $10,000 bond, bringing his total bond to $35,000.
Deputy Dustin McClure arrested Massie during a traffic stop in which McClure allegedly discovered psychedelic mushrooms.
Under Tennessee law, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute is a Class B felony, punishable by 8–12 years in prison and fines up to $100,000.
