Tigers Stay Perfect With 19-14 Win Over Gleason

The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Tigers stayed unbeaten with a hard-fought 19-14 road win over Gleason on Friday, August 29, leaning on balanced offense and timely defense to secure their second straight victory.

Offensive Highlights

Quarterback Braxton Howard completed 15 out of 20 passes for 213 yards and two touchdown passes

Brady Roberts caught 7 receptions for 109 yards, including a 57-yard scoring strike in the first quarter.

Korbin Brown paced the Tigers with 123 rushing yards on 12 carries, including a 57-yard breakaway touchdown.

Senior Seth Thomas added 4 receptions for 71 yards, including a key touchdown in the fourth quarter that helped seal the win.

Nic King chipped in 34 yards on 12 carries.

Defensive Stands

The Tiger defense bent but didn’t break, holding Gleason to 14 points despite several late threats.

Grayson Thompson was all over the field with 2 solo tackles, 6 assists, and 2 tackles for loss.

Johnny Tilley anchored the front with 8 tackles, while Tanner Walters and Nic King each tallied 4 stops.

Special Teams

Walters handled kicking duties, going 1-for-1 on PATs. He also averaged 36 yards on two punts, including a 53-yard bomb that flipped the field, and booted four kickoffs for 168 yards.

King added a pair of kickoff returns for 34 total yards.

With the win, Central’s Tigers improve to 2–0 on the season after opening with a 35-6 victory over Scotts Hill.

The Tigers will return home to face Greenfield on Friday, September 5, as they look to keep their perfect record intact.
