Is It Pee or Naw? TikTok Trend Hits Carroll County

A viral TikTok trend has many college and high school students across the country “marking their territory”.

The so-called “pisser” challenge made its way to Bethel, last week. Students there have joined the wave of TikTok videos showing people pretending to urinate on campus landmarks.

The trend consists of participants spraying water or other liquid while filming, making it appear as though they’re relieving themselves in public.

Videos are paired with sounds and music from the TV show Dexter, including a monologue where the narrator declares, “Tonight’s the night. And it’s going to happen again and again.”

The Bethel prankster has posted videos where they’ve tagged the Wildcat statue, the sign for Vera Low Center, a parked car, and others.

Typically, the “pisser” videos are paired with another TikTok account playing the role of Officer Doakes, the detective from Dexter, who appears to be in hot pursuit of the culprit.

Carroll County Observer reached out to Bethel University, however, no one was available for comment.
