All of West Carroll and much of the surrounding community took part in the school’s annual Community Boo Bash on Tuesday night, October 21.

Costumed children filled the parking lot of West Carroll Junior/Senior High School in a continuous line of trick-or-treaters.
Food trucks served up a variety of options, including Carl’s BBQ, Tacolima, Small Town Sno, Spicy Catch Shrimp Boils, and Cock-A-Doodle Dough Craft Doughnuts.
“It was awesome to see the line wrapped around the school before we even opened,” said Chandler Rimmer, one of the student volunteers in a statement. “I love seeing people from all around come out and support our War Eagle family.”
Attendees enjoyed a number of attractions, including a costume contest, a decorated pumpkin contest, a haunted classroom, and various midway games.

West Carroll Junior/Senior High School Principal, Adam Douglas, praised the event.
“The Boo Bash was a fantastic event to showcase community and students,” he said. “It is always a safe event for kids to be kids while enjoying a night out with friends and family.”
Douglas added, “The Boo Bash is a great way to showcase our facility and students and everything West Carroll has to offer. We are already looking forward to next year.”
While official attendance has not been tallied, Douglas said last year’s event saw more than 1,200 attendees, and that this year’s crowd looked larger.
