It was already shaping up to be a high-stakes Class 2A playoff matchup this Friday night between Huntingdon’s Mustangs and the Memphis Business Academy Executives, but MBA will be heading into the game without their head coach.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi, the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested 20 individuals, including two sheriffs, 12 other members of Mississippi law enforcement, and multiple other individuals charged with a drug-distribution conspiracy.
Among the list of names is Torio Chaz Wiseman, head coach at Memphis Business Academy.
Wiseman is facing multiple felony counts tied to the broad conspiracy, which allegedly involved drug shipments through the Mississippi Delta region and into the Memphis area.
“We are aware of the situation involving our employee. Please know that we take all matters related to the safety and well-being of our students and staff very seriously. He has been placed on administrative leave,” a spokesperson for the school said to Memphis TV stations.
The development leaves Memphis Business Academy scrambling for leadership just days before facing Huntingdon in the opening round of the playoffs.
Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. Friday, October 7, at Paul Ward Stadium.
