Dr. Myles Hebrard surprised the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District Board of Education during its meeting Monday, December 8, when he announced he is stepping down from his position as Director of Schools.

“This letter is to inform the [school board] that I’m resigning my position effective January 7,” Hebrard said, reading from a prepared statement. “I want to say thank you to each of you, and that I’m honored that you selected me as your Director of Schools in 2021.”
He did not elaborate on why he is resigning, but said the letter served as his required 30-day notice under the terms of his contract.
“I’m thankful and appreciative for the opportunity and will assist you as you need me in the transition,” Hebrard added. “Thank you again for your belief in the students.”
Board Chairman Brad Hurley said Hebrard’s announcement was unexpected.
“This was a surprise,” Hurley said. “We will be having a special-called meeting next week to deal with this issue.”
The board set a special-called meeting for Monday, December 15 at 5:30 p.m., where they will install an interim Director.

The director of Benton County schools Mark Florence, promised to resign over his repeated title nine violations. He then had the mother who had the proof of the violations removed from the board meeting because she spoke about the victim of Steven stokes killings himself in a public place. I have a recording of the entire meeting. Mark Florence is protecting child predators and the board is complicit.
