Carroll County General Sessions Court – January 7, 2026

Carroll County General Sessions Court had a short docket on Wednesday, January 7, with one guilty plea, one dismissal, and several that were bound over to the grand jury.

The following case resulted in a plea of guilty:

Dalton Allen of Bruceton entered a guilty plea to tampering with, removing, or vandalizing a monitoring device. He was placed on unsupervised probation for the balance of his sentence, ordered to pay court costs through the clerk’s office, and assessed a $20 fine for contempt.

The following cases were bound over to the Carroll County Grand Jury:

David W. Brown of Cedar Grove was bound over on multiple charges, including evading arrest, child abuse, neglect, or endangerment, reckless endangerment involving a vehicle, and driving while license revoked.

Ramsey William Carter of McKenzie was bound over on charges of possession of a firearm with intent to go armed during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Schedule III drugs.

Herivia La Shea Strayhorn of McKenzie was bound over on charges of simple possession or casual exchange and possession of Schedule II drugs (cocaine, 0.5 grams or greater).

Phillip B. Williams of McKenzie was bound over on charges of attempted accessory after the fact and attempted tampering with evidence.

The following case was dismissed:

A public intoxication charge against Carla R. Summers of McKenzie was dismissed with costs assessed to the defendant.
