Mrs. Jean L. Moore, 79, of Huntingdon, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, peaceably in her sleep at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Henry Simpson officiating. Interment followed on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads, at 1:30 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to:

Mrs. Moore was born October 5, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Nathanael and Helen Marrs. She worked for the Defense Contract Administration Service Region, Chicago for 25 years, which is where she met her husband, Tony.  Jean and Tony later moved to Tennessee, in October 2007, because their grandchildren lived here.  Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Marrs. 

Jean Moore is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Tony “Anthony”, her older brother, Robert Marrs (Sharon), her daughter, Julie Melson (Jay), and her son Dan Wosz (Olga). She also leaves four grandsons, Sebastian, Jordan (Kara), and Dyllan Melson and Joey Griffey, great granddaughter Lynnon Jewel Melson, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
