HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — On Wednesday, April 15 at 9 a.m. in the conference room of City Hall in Huntingdon, TN, Anita Boyd will be the speaker at the Huntingdon TN Historical Society.
Boyd is a 1947 graduate of Bruceton High School and she attended grade school in Bruceton. The grade school was located where LifeCare Center sits now.
Her grandfather helped to build the local railroad. Passenger trains used to stop in Bruceton daily and she has fond memories of riding the passenger trains with her grandmother. Boyd moved to Camden in 1974 and has lived in Camden since that time.
She will discuss how the growth of the Town of Bruceton and the railroad are deeply intertwined with each other.
