KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Clarksburg Mayor Howell Wayne Todd formally accepted the Tennessee Municipal League’s Small City Progress Award on July 10 at the 86th Annual TML Conference and Expo in Kingsport.
TML President and Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic presented the award, which recognizes Clarksburg’s progress in the face of significant challenges as an economically distressed community.
The award was announced in June, honoring the town’s efforts to modernize its aging sewer system and build public trust through greater transparency.
