Jeffrey Scott Pollard is a distinguished military veteran, law enforcement leader, instructor, and public safety professional with nearly 40 years of combined service.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, and growing up in an Army family, as a military dependent, his family settled in Lexington, Tennessee, where he attended Lexington High School, graduating in 1985. It was there that he first felt the pull toward service and chose the United States Army as his path after graduation.

Scott served from 1985 to 2013, rising to the esteemed position of Battalion Command Sergeant Major. While serving, Scott deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Desert Storm, where he served in both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Later in his career, he was mobilized to Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he spent two years training nearly 3000 Soldiers preparing to deploy to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his tenure as an instructor, he was responsible for the training, welfare, and development of thousands of Soldiers, many of those preparing to go into harm’s way. His military career included roles as a Military Police Officer, Squad Leader, Instructor, and Chief Instructor, where he oversaw nationwide training programs and prepared Soldiers for deployment through advanced instruction in weapons, urban operations, counter-IED tactics, and crisis response.

Alongside his military service, Scott built an exceptional career with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Dept, as a K-9 handler and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, serving as Trooper, Sergeant, Lieutenant, K-9 handler, Hazardous Devices Technician, SWAT Operator, Crisis Negotiator, and Strike Team leader. His work spanned criminal investigations, explosives response, dignitary protection, disaster operations, and statewide emergency deployments. As a Lieutenant, he coordinated troop operations, supervised personnel, developed training programs, and served as a principal liaison with federal, state, and local agencies.

After retirement from the Highway Patrol, Scott served as President and Chief Instructor of the Security Training Academy of Tennessee (S.T.A.T.), developing innovative training programs and delivering state-certified instruction in active threat response to churches and pre-schools, physical security, emergency response, and threat mitigation to security personnel.

Today, Scott continues serving his community through leadership, instruction, and mentorship, carrying forward the values of integrity, courage, and service that have defined his life, while spending more time with his family.
