Dollar Tree, Inc. completed the sale of its Family Dollar business in July to Brigade Capital Management and Macellum Capital Management for more than $1 billion, which is an $8 billion loss.

As a result of the sale, over 1,900 Family Dollar locations are set to close, including 600 stores that closed last year and over 1,000 combo stores that house Family Dollar and Dollar Tree in one building, like Bruceton’s

Of the 1,000 combo stores, many are being converted to standalone Family Dollar stores.

Carroll County Observer has reached out to the company about the fate of Bruceton’s store, and are awaiting a response.
