Carroll County Fair 2025 Purple Ribbon Winners

Hundreds of entries were submitted across the Floral, Domestic Arts, and Culinary departments at this year’s Carroll County Fair, with the following exhibitors earning the coveted Purple Ribbon:

Kaetlyn Robinson’s Purple Ribbon Winning Lemon Blueberry Pound Cake
Ingredients:
1-1/4 Cups Butter
3 Cups Sugar
6 Eggs
1/4 Cup Buttermilk
2 Teaspoons Lemon Extract
2 Cups Blueberries
3 Cups Cake Flour

Directions:
Cream butter and gradually add in sugar. Add in eggs one by one until combined. Mix flour in until slowly combined. Add buttermilk until just incorporated. Add lemon extract and gently fold in blueberries. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

    Thanks for posting this – we didn’t make it to the fair this year. The exhibition exhibits are always the favorite part for me, everyone is so talented! Thanks for posting that recipe too, can’t wait to try it.
