HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — March was a lively and memorable month at Harmony Hill Assisted Living in Huntingdon, filled with meaningful traditions, fun outings, and special celebrations.

We kicked off the month by getting our hands dirty planting flowers in pots to brighten our front porch- welcoming spring in the best way possible. One of our favorite traditions continued as residents worked together to cap, slice, and freeze fresh strawberries. These delicious treats were later enjoyed during our popular Waffle Wednesday breakfasts and in homemade strawberry shortcake desserts.

GREEN THUMBS — Carolyn and Barbara plant flowers in pots at Harmony Hill Assisted Living in Huntingdon to welcome the arrival of spring.

We were honored to welcome a former resident, Ms. Lida, back for lunch to celebrate her incredible 99th birthday with us alongside her daughter. It was a heartwarming reunion for everyone involved.

LUCKY PLATE — A traditional Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage served at Harmony Hill Assisted Living in Huntingdon for St. Patrick’s Day.

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, our residents enjoyed a chef-prepared traditional Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage, which was a big hit. Adding to the excitement this month, our Health and Wellness Director, Kati, arranged a visit from adorable baby goats. Residents had the opportunity to bottle-feed and play with them, creating smiles all around.

Our residents also enjoyed getting out into the community with a lunch outing to Joe’s BBQ in Huntingdon, where the fish and BBQ plates were a crowd favorite. Another shopping trip took us to Bruceton, where an unexpected town-wide power outage turned into a fun adventure. We quickly adjusted plans and headed to Dollar General Market in Hollow Rock, ensuring the day remained enjoyable.

Back at Harmony Hill, we hosted a peaceful Ladies Tea, featuring vanilla tea with cupcakes filled with strawberry jam- an event our residents always look forward to. We were also fortunate to have a special guest, Angie from Baptist Hospice, host Bingo this month, bringing great prizes and wonderful energy to the game.

BIRTHDAY BOY — Jim celebrates his birthday with family at Harmony Hill Assisted Living in Huntingdon, with a homemade coconut cake made by his wife Sandra.

We celebrated resident Mr. Jim’s birthday with singing and a delicious homemade coconut cake prepared by his sweet wife, Sandra- always a treat we appreciate. Additionally, we were excited to welcome a new resident, Ms. Dianne, who has already become a valued part of our community.

KEEPING ACTIVE — Members of the Aegis Therapy team lead residents in a group exercise session at Harmony Hill Assisted Living in Huntingdon.

Throughout the month, our in-house therapy team from Aegis Therapy, Amber and Zoie, continued working daily with residents to improve strength and mobility, supporting our commitment to health and wellness.

It has truly been a fantastic month at Harmony Hill and we are looking forward to even more fun in April including an upcoming trip to McKenzie Moos Farm!

We invite the community to come visit us at Harmony Hill- whether to volunteer, enjoy a meal, or take a tour. At Harmony Hill, you’ll always find yourself in a happier place!
