The sounds of hammers, trucks, and earth-movers filled the once-empty lot next to Hollow Rock City Hall Friday, October 24, as construction progressed on the long-awaited parks project.

Construction workers with NSite Developers were busy building what is to be a pavilion next to the concrete pad for the future basketball court.
“We’ve been here about 10 days, now,” said Bill Smith, owner of NSite. “If the weather cooperates, the basketball court should be ready for surfacing and the park ready for playground equipment in about two weeks.”
The Town of Hollow Rock received $630,000 for park improvements in December 2023.
This construction is the culmination of that grant.

Town Recorder RaSha Higdon said they met with NSite last month to finalize pre-construction details.
Once completed, Hollow Rock’s new park will feature a half-sized basketball court, a picnic pavilion, and an array of new playground equipment.
