Carroll County Technical Center students now have two new luxury vehicles at their fingertips, thanks to a donation from Nissan Motor Company that will expand hands-on learning opportunities in the school’s Automotive Repair and Collision Repair programs.

The company recently donated a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder 4×4 and a 2022 Infiniti QX60 AWD to the CCTC campus. These vehicles will allow students to develop practical, real-world skills that prepare them for careers in the automotive industry without ever leaving the classroom.

“These vehicles give our students the chance to work on the kind of technology they’ll encounter in the modern workforce,” said Principal Joe Norval. “We were very fortunate to be one of a handful of schools across the state to be chosen to receive this donation from Nissan. In fact, when I completed the request packet, I was hoping for just one. When we received two vehicles with an estimated value of over $100,000, we were shocked and very excited.”

The Pathfinder and QX60 will be used exclusively on campus for instructional purposes, providing students with up-close access to advanced automotive systems. This kind of hands-on experience is critical in an industry that’s rapidly evolving with new technologies, including sophisticated electronics, sensors, and safety systems.
