The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced scheduled lane closures and construction work for the week of October 8–15, 2025, affecting several highways and state routes in Carroll, Benton, Henry, Henderson, Madison, Weakley, and Gibson Counties.
Carroll County
Resurfacing continues on SR-1 (US 70) from near Rutherford Fork Obion River to SR-22, including all directions of Huntingdon Square. Drivers should expect temporary daily and nightly lane closures for milling and paving.
Work is also ongoing on SR-76 (US-79) from near SR-77 to near Cutlip Lane for grading, drainage, noise walls, signals, and paving. Meadowbrook Lane remains closed, and traffic has been shifted to a new alignment from near Cutlip Lane to the Connector Road leading into Trezevant, with a reduced speed limit of 35 mph.
Dorsey Road, Clay Farm Road, and Power Station Road are closed for utility realignment and construction, with detours in place.
Benton County
Work continues at I-40 Exit 126, where grading, drainage, and paving on the US-641 (SR-69) interchange are causing temporary lane closures.
Similar work is taking place on SR-1 (US 70) from the Camden Bypass to the Tennessee River, with temporary lane closures throughout the project.
Henry County
SR-218 is being resurfaced from SR-77 to SR-76, and temporary lane closures are expected throughout the project.
Henderson County
Crews are resurfacing SR-22A from the Chester County line to near Simpson Park Cove, including bridge expansion joint repair. One lane will remain open at all times, but drivers should expect temporary lane closures in both directions.
Additionally, work on SR-201 from SR-104 to the Decatur County line will also require lane closures, with one lane remaining open.
Madison County
Multiple projects are underway, including bridge inspection work on I-40 between MM 76.5 and MM 75.5, which will cause lane closures westbound and a temporary closure of the Exit 76 westbound on-ramp on Wednesday, October 15, from 9 a.m. to noon.
AT&T utility work will close the northbound right lane of S. Highland Avenue (SR-5) between Herron Grove Road and S. Royal Street from October 13–17 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Resurfacing on I-40 from MM 74 to MM 78 continues nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through October 15, with intermittent lane closures in both directions and a reduced speed limit of 60 mph.
Additional work includes interchange improvements at I-40 Exit 68 (SR-138) and intersection improvements at US-412 (SR-20) and Old Bells Road.
Weakley County
Concrete ramp repairs at the US 45E/SR-43 interchange will require temporary lane closures during the project.
Gibson County
SR-186 is being resurfaced from the Madison County line to SR-76, with temporary lane closures expected.
Additionally, SR-445 resurfacing runs from SR-105 in Gibson County to just over the Weakley County line, affecting both counties with temporary lane closures.
