The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has released its weekly list of lane closures and construction updates for Region 4, covering West Tennessee.
Several projects will affect travel in Carroll County and neighboring counties. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution in work zones.
Carroll County
Multiple resurfacing and road realignment projects are underway this week:
SR-1 (US 70) — Milling and paving work from near Rutherford Fork Obion River to SR 22 (including all directions around Huntingdon Square) will require temporary daytime and nighttime lane closures throughout the week.
SR-76 (US 79) — Resurfacing between Winston/Sydnor Road and the Henry County line will bring daytime and nighttime closures.
Construction between SR 77 and Cutlip Lane continues with grading, drainage, noise wall installation, signals, and paving. Several local road closures are in place: Meadowbrook Lane remains closed. Cutlip Lane traffic has been shifted onto a new alignment leading to Trezevant, with a reduced speed limit of 35 MPH and an all-way stop at Old US 79 (SR 76). Dorsey Road and Clay Farm Road are closed for utility realignment and construction, with detours posted. Power Station Road is closed for construction, with traffic detoured along US-70A/SR 105 (Main Street).
Benton County
I-40 at Exit 126 (US-641/SR-69) — Grading, drainage, and paving at the interchange will cause temporary lane closures.
SR-1 (US 70) — Construction from Camden Bypass to the Tennessee River will bring temporary closures as well.
Henry County
SR-218 — Resurfacing between SR 77 and SR 76 continues, causing temporary lane closures along the route.

Travel Reminders
TDOT encourages drivers to check travel conditions before heading out. Real-time traffic updates, construction activity, and live cameras are available through TDOT SmartWay at www.tn.gov/tdot. Motorists can also dial 511 for statewide travel information.
As always, drivers should slow down and stay alert in construction zones, and never text or use handheld devices while driving.
