A Mississippi woman faces multiple felony charges after police say she pulled a handgun during a struggle with officers inside McKenzie City Hall on November 5, according to a police report.

McKenzie Police received a call around 4:37 p.m. reporting a possibly suicidal woman driving toward the city on Highway 124 in a blue SUV.
Minutes later, Celina Engles walked into City Hall and called 911 to report her daughter missing from Madison, Mississippi.
Sgt. Cody Coleman responded to City Hall because he believed Engles might be the suicidal subject from the earlier call. When he met her in the lobby, he observed that she appeared disoriented and confused.
Coleman stated that Engles repeatedly insisted his name was “Shelby Ford” and claimed he had previously coached football, even after he showed her his badge and name tag.
The report said that Coleman determined Engles’ altered mental state posed a risk to her safety and the safety of others.
He asked for her identification and told her he needed to run it.
Engles allegedly became agitated, tried to snatch the ID back, told him “I’m not playing with you,” and attempted to leave the building.
When Coleman stopped her from leaving, Engles resisted.
During the struggle, she reached into her purse, pulled out what appeared to Coleman to be a handgun, and said something like, “I got something for you.”
Coleman said he immediately attempted to take her to the ground while controlling the weapon.
Dispatcher Dowland and First Responder Vincent joined the struggle.
The firearm came loose, and Coleman told Vincent to kick it away. Officers continued restraining Engles until they placed her in handcuffs. No one suffered injuries.
Officers transported Engles to the Carroll County Jail and charged her with three counts of aggravated assault on a first responder and resisting arrest. The court set her bond at $310,000.
