MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Three people are dead and ten others were transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital following a shooting at Neely Station Park, also known as Savannah Williamson Park, in Denmark late Sunday night.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department and Jackson Police Department have been on scene since 11 p.m. Sunday.
Sheriff Julian Wiser confirmed that approximately 100 people were present when the shooting occurred and that the park was closed at the time.
Two victims were found dead on scene. A third was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to injuries. The victims range in age from 16 to 36 years old.
Multiple weapons and different size shell casings were recovered at the scene. Investigators are reviewing camera footage from the park. No suspects have been publicly identified and no names have been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
