Carroll County Observer recently learned that the wife of newly-elected Sheriff, Eric Sawyers was arrested just after 3 p.m. on Monday, September 14.
Rachel Sawyers was booked into Carroll County jail on one count of Theft of Property over $1,000 and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.
Her bond was set at $2,000.
