Carroll County General Sessions Court – February 18, 2026

The Carroll County General Sessions Court convened on Tuesday, February 18, in Huntingdon. Cases involved drug-related offenses, probation violations, weapons charges, traffic violations, and more.

The following cases resulted in pleas of guilty:

Jeffrey Hampton of McKenzie entered a guilty plea to methamphetamine possession or casual exchange. A casual exchange adult/minor Schedule VI charge was dismissed. He was assessed a $750 fine, placed on supervised probation for the balance, with time served credit of 13 days.

Rockel Humphrey of Cedar Grove entered a guilty plea to probation violation. He was assessed a $0 fine, sentenced to 90 days, and placed on supervised probation for 13 months.

Briana Pugh of Huntingdon entered a guilty plea to theft of merchandise shoplifting. She was assessed a $0 fine, ordered to have no contact with Walmart, placed on supervised probation for a minimum of 90 days then unsupervised probation for the balance if conditions are met, and ordered to report to jail on March 6, 2026 at 6 p.m.

Caleb Riddle of Cedar Grove entered a guilty plea to driving while license suspended. He was assessed a $0 fine, sentenced to 30 days unsupervised probation with time served credit of 10 days, concurrent with another case.

Michael Martin Williams of Trezevant entered a guilty plea to unlawful possession of weapon. He was placed on supervised probation for a minimum of 90 days then unsupervised probation if all conditions are met, and ordered to forfeit interest in the firearm.

James William Yon Jr of McKenzie had sexual offender registration form violation charges dismissed and entered a guilty plea to evading arrest. He was assessed a $0 fine, placed on supervised probation for a minimum of 90 days then unsupervised probation if conditions are met, and ordered to complete a cognitive behavioral training course.

Syndesky T Bowers of Jackson had registration expired and driving while license revoked charges dismissed and entered a guilty plea to speeding on December 10, 2025.

The following cases were bound over to the Carroll County Grand Jury:

Marcus Ray Bell of Rutherford was bound over on charges of casual exchange adult/minor Schedule II, methamphetamine manufacturing, delivery, sale, or possession with intent, driving while license revoked (two counts), evading arrest, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.

Lathan Rantrell Gilbreath of Huntingdon was bound over on charges of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment, possession of firearm with intent to go armed during a dangerous felony, Schedule I drugs manufacturing, delivery, sale, or possession, and Schedule VI drugs manufacturing, delivery, sale, or possession.

Raymond T Hands of McKenzie was bound over on charges of escape and simple possession or casual exchange.

Alice Cherie Hill of Huntingdon was bound over on charges of DUI first offense, HOV violation, vehicle registration improper use, and improper lane change.

Kyle D McKennie of McKenzie was bound over on charges of simple possession or casual exchange, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, employment of firearm with intent to go armed during a dangerous felony, and Schedule VI drugs manufacturing, delivery, sale, or possession.

The following cases were dismissed:

Probation violation charges against Jamie Lyn Barker of McKenzie were dismissed, as well as a theft of merchandise shoplifting charge.

A theft of merchandise shoplifting charge against Regina Bryant of McKenzie was dismissed based on co-defendant plea and acceptance of responsibility for theft.

A probation violation charge against Tony White Jr of Huntingdon was dismissed.
