CLARKSBURG, Tenn. β It’s history in the making. Quite literally. Soldiers from the 212th Engineer Company out of Paris arrived at Clarksburg School on Saturday, July 11, unloading equipment to begin grading work on what will become the Rockets’ first home soccer field.
The field will go behind the Rocket Farm barn, and has been in the works for two years.

South Carroll Special School District announced the project in early June, and credited a wide group of partners including the USDA’s NRCS Division, the Tennessee National Guard, Nick Foster Construction, and several community volunteers and donors.
“This is a great example of what can happen when people come together with a shared vision for our students and our future,” the district said in announcing the project.

1st Lt. Sneed said grading work will begin Monday, weather permitting. The soldiers are on Annual Training, the two-and-a-half week period when Guard members conduct active-duty training.
“It helps the school out and gives us a chance to use the skills we’ve been building,” Sneed said.
The 212th Engineer Company has a long history of community service missions alongside its combat deployments, including disaster relief following Hurricane Helene and Winter Storm Fern.
