HOLLOW ROCK, Tenn. — Hollow Rock Water System’s drinking water met all federal health standards in 2025, according to the system’s annual water quality report, though the system did acknowledge missing a required monitoring test during the year.
The report shows eight contaminants were detected out of more than 80 tested, all within safe limits. Lead and copper testing showed no households among the 10 sampled exceeded action levels.
However, the system failed to collect its required annual nitrate sample during 2025. The lapse was attributed to an oversight.
A makeup sample was taken April 6, 2026, and a notice was distributed to customers May 18, 2026.
The system emphasized the missed test was not an emergency and that customers did not need to take any action.
