HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Huntingdon Police Chief Jason Oliver says the suspect in connection with last week’s armed robbery at Cash Saver on East Main Street has been identified.
According to Oliver, suspect Rodney Wright was arrested the morning after the robbery on unrelated charges while investigators continued gathering evidence in the robbery case.

Oliver said investigators have since obtained a confession and additional evidence in the case, and formal charges have been filed.
Oliver thanked the Drug Task Force, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI Task Force with assisting in the investigation, which was carried out under his supervision.
Wright faces charges of aggravated robbery, with bond set at $250,000; aggravated assault, with bond set at $50,000; and theft of property over $2,500, with bond set at $10,000.
