ATWOOD, Tenn. — A Monday afternoon in the hay field turned life-threatening for 15-year-old Clay Fowler, who was seriously injured in a farming accident June 1 and airlifted to the Med in Memphis.
Fowler was treated for various injuries, including a liver laceration and bruised lungs.
As of Thursday, he was reported to be improving and expected to return home in the coming days.
Those who know Clay describe him as a young man of strong faith, active in his church and involved in rodeo associations. The accident will sideline him from competing during his recovery, though family hopes he will be ready to go by fall.
Prayers have poured in from as far away as England.
Those wishing to support the family are asked to keep Clay and his family in their prayers.
