West Carroll

The Marching War Eagles took home a number of accolades, including People’s Choice and first place overall in their class.
Drum Major Callie Bryant earned first place field commander in Class AA. The band also claimed first place in their class in the drum line category, as well as second for color guard.
Band Director Emma O’Bryan praised the band following the awards ceremony.
“I am very proud of these students and the phenomenal work they put in day after day,” she said. “We have an incredibly young group, with 13 of our 28 being either 8th grade or 1st year marchers. Today was the 1st competition where they performed the whole show and I believe that, without a doubt, it was their best performance. We’re excited to keep improving, but we are all pleased with the results of today!”
