McKENZIE, Tenn. — Several area high school cross country teams participate in the McKenzie XC Jumpstart jamboree at McKenzie City Park Thursday evening, August 13. Several runners from McKenzie, Huntingdon, and Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central finished in the top 20.
McKenzie’s Abbigail Wallace won first in the girl’s race. First place overall in the boy’s race went to Greenfield’s Deegan Arant.
Carroll County joining Wallace in top-20 included Autumn Haywood (3rd, McKenzie), Bella Sass (9th, McKenzie), Millie Brigham (10th, McKenzie), Kaylen Cary (15th, Huntingdon), Willow Stenburg (17th, McKenzie), and Sophie Dameron (18th, McKenzie) in the girls race.
For the boys, Carroll County top-20 finishers included Alister Wallace (3rd, McKenzie), Cal Fawcett (6th, McKenzie), Evan Joseph (7th, Hollow Rock-Bruceton), Charlie Logan (10th, Huntingdon), Derek Hodge (11th, Huntingdon), and Cody Wilson (19th, Huntingdon).
