The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School Band earned top honors at the Tennessee Small Band Association’s Senate Cup, held Saturday, November 1, at Watertown High School in Watertown, Tennessee.

The Tiger Color Guard captured Top Color Guard for the third consecutive year, and Kalani Joyner won Top Soloist.
The band also finished as Reserve Grand Champion, taking second place overall.
Color Guard Instructor Sandi Walden said the victory was especially meaningful for a group composed largely of middle school and first-year marchers.

“That color guard trophy was hard-fought,” Walden said. “I was concerned early on, but they pulled together and got the job done.”
The band’s show was based on Mary Poppins and featured various selection form the film.
