West Carroll Elementary School continues to celebrate student excellence through its SOAR Awards program, which honors students who exemplify the school’s core values of Safety, Ownership, Achievement, and Respect. This program recognizes students who consistently demonstrate academic effort, positive character, and meaningful contributions to the school community.

Carleigh Coleman, a fourth grader, received the SOAR Award for earning the most positive Dojo points during Week 9. Her teacher, Ms. Madison McClure, shared, “Carleigh comes to school ready to participate in lessons. She follows directions, stays on task, and works hard every day, making her a great role model for her peers.”
Hannah Coleman, also a fourth-grade student, earned the most Dojo points in the school for Week 10, earning her the SOAR Award as well. Ms. McClure stated, “Hannah is always there to lend a hand to her teachers and classmates. Whether it’s staying on task or helping others stay on track, she’s got it covered! Her hard work and attention to detail keep our class running smoothly, and we are very proud of her.”
Norah Reynolds, a sixth grader, was nominated by her teacher, Ms. Shanna Pafford, for both Weeks 9 and 10. Ms. Pafford remarked, “Norah is a tremendous help at school. She is always willing to assist teachers, classmates, and staff. Norah has a strong work ethic and often goes above and beyond what is asked of her. I am very proud of her as both a leader and a role model.”
West Carroll Elementary is proud of these students for their dedication to excellence and for exemplifying the values that make the school community thrive.
